Scientists at the University of Oxford to do research. In their study of people suffering from insomnia and divide them into different groups. Then the researchers to monitor the rate of drowsiness atthe beginning of the participants, divided into different techniquespemacing sleep.
Apparently when the study participants were instructed to countsheep or were not commands, they have more time to sleep.Conversely, when she was asked to imagine something relaxinglike the beach, they just fall asleep 20 minutes faster.
The researchers speculate that counting sheep can be veryboring, while imagining a peaceful atmosphere makes the body more relaxed, so fall asleep faster.
In another study, researchers compared people who sleep easilywith insomnia group. The result was no significant difference.People who have insomnia often imagine or think of somethingunpleasant, is anxious, noisy environments or activities they havedone in the daytime.
That is why the researchers conclude, if you want fast asleep, notcounting sheep. But imagine a peaceful atmosphere and causinga feeling of comfort. Eyes closed easily.
