Groups of berries, like blueberries, blackberries or strawberries, contain antioxidants that are very high. Therefore, the fruit is highly recommended to retard aging and prevent free radicals. Other benefits recently known to improve brain function and prevent memory loss due to aging.
“In addition to antioxidant effects, the consumption of berries also have a direct effect on the brain,” said researcher Marshall Miller, USDA-ARS Center for Human Nutrition Research on Aging, and colleagues, who published their findings in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
